What We Do
Here at the RSPCA Northamptonshire Branch we’re all passionate about animals. Whether they’re big or small, fluffy or have scales, four legs or two – we want to help as many as we can.
As a small and independent branch of the RSPCA, we are responsible for raising all of our own funds locally within Northamptonshire. The money that we raise through our charity shops, fundraising events, grants and public donations enables us to fund the vital work we carry out to save animals that have been neglected, mistreated or subjected to cruelty. We work with a team of local vets to ensure each of our animals receives the treatment they require for any injuries or health problems, as well as ensuring they are vaccinated, microchipped, neutered and also flea and worm treated. After our animals have been given the all clear, they settle into their home with us, whether that’s with one of volunteer foster carers, in the Hope Cattery, or in a private boarding facility. It is here they get all the love and care they need, while waiting patiently for their new forever home.
We are also passionate about education at the branch, with regards to responsible pet ownership and neutering. We often can be found out and about doing welfare events within Northamptonshire, or giving talks to schools or groups – after all, children are the pet owners of the future and if we can educate them at a young age we hope this will reduce the number of cruelty incidents against animals in the future.
Without donations from members of the public, we would not be able to carry out our vital work, providing animals with their second chance in life. To find out more about the dedicated team behind the scenes, click here!
