Dog Training Volunteers
We are currently looking to recruit two volunteers to help with our dogs and their basic training needs.
All of the dogs in our care have had different experiences of life and most of the time have a basic understanding of commands. We are looking to maintain this knowledge and help them to learn new ones. The simple task of recall, sit, stay and fetch and general lead work and manners around known people and strangers.
We are asking the successful volunteer to offer 2-3 hours of their time between Monday – Friday in the enclosure at our centre. This voluntary role will be managed and led by the Adoptions Coordinator and they will be your point of contact. All of the training at our centre is through the use of positive reinforcement and we ask that new volunteers work in line with this.
For this role it is requested that you have professional qualifications from a recognised body or are currently working towards these qualifications.
We will be interviewing for this role so ask that an application form is filled. Click here to start.
Once we have been through the applications we will be in touch to invite for an interview and to discuss the role further.
