Colin came into branch care after being found abandoned with his siblings, we suspect that as a young dog he had very little socialisation and handling and this has left its mark. Colin is a shy dog who absolutely loves the outdoors and lounging in the sunshine and wind and once he has had enough he will tell you and go straight back to his bed.
Colin needs a calm and quiet adult only home. He is quiet but playful and loves a tennis ball being thrown for him. He enjoys playing with other dogs and could live with another confident dog. He is a Lurcher and although he shows little interest in cats and small furries we recommend he goes to a home without them.
He walks well on the lead but he will need a confident handler who can reassure him, he wants to run all the time but due to his nature he is a dog that will most likely never be able to go off lead on open fields but in an enclosed area or secure garden he would be perfect. Colin needs someone to give him reassurance, love and time, he needs to be able to trust you. He does love fuss and a stroke but he needs to come to you.
Colin is an absolute sweetheart with so much love to give he just needs someone to give him a chance.
All our dog viewings at Northamptonshire branch are by appointment only which will be arranged after applications are received.
