Project Description

AGE: 2 years
BREED: Lurcher
COLOUR: White and Tan
SEX: Male
COAT: Short
SIZE: Medium – Large

Colin came into branch care after being found abandoned with his siblings, we suspect that as a young dog he had very little socialisation and handling and this has left its mark.  Since being in our care Colin has continued to improve but he still lacks confidence and needs to find a home which will help him grow.

Colin is a highly anxious dog who struggles with too much going on and needs a calm and quiet adult only home. He enjoys playing with other dogs and may well be able to live with another confident dog. He is a Lurcher and although he shows little interest in Cats and Small furries we recommend he goes to a home without them.

He walks well on the lead but he will need a confident handler who can reassure him, he is very flighty and the littlest thing can scare him. Due to his nature he is a dog that will most likely never be able to go off lead.  Colin needs a family willing to work with him over a long period of time, this will include a number of meet and greets at the centre so that he can get to know and trust you.

If you feel you may have the right home for Colin then please do complete an application form.

All our dog viewings at Northamptonshire branch are by appointment only which will be arranged after applications are received.
